Mayor’s Report
The Minister of Finance had stated in his budget speech in March 2025 that although the world economy remained troubled, there were signs of improvement in the economy and in line with this improvement, that South Africa’s economy had continued to grow, albeit at a slower pace than what was expected in the previous year. It was also stated that although South Africa’s economic outlook was improving, we “require to actively pursue a different trajectory if we are to address the challenges ahead.” This would mean that all sectors of society would have to work together to achieve this.
