Public Notice: Update on Wagendrift Progress Intervention to Restore Water Supply
Following the faulty electric cable in Wagendrift raw water pump under Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality, Uthukela District Municipality is in a process of hiring two heavy duty generators that will supply 900kw power in order to supply water to the affected communities in Industrial area and Wards 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17. To get these generators commissioned and operational it would probably take us up to three to four days.
In the meantime, as a short-term solution we are working on increasing the number of water tankers that will be deployed to affected areas. Councillors will be informed in due course about the schedules of water tankers operating in their respective areas or Wards. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
